In memory of Lucas Carson Sanders. He passed away shortly after he was born due to hydrops fetalis. The money raised in his memory is going to the babies at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at UVA.
A RunningDad.com charity site.
This site is a tribute to our son who blessed us with his presence for only a short while, but made a profound impact on our lives.
We have set up a fund to help other babies and families at the University of Virginia Children's Hospital.
Lucas Carson Sanders passed away shortly after he was born due to hydrops fetalis. The money raised in his memory is going to the babies at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at UVA. The money will be used to provide the babies with diapers, blankets, pacifiers, and any other necessities they might need during their stay.
There are two ways you can help.
First, you can register and create your own personalized fundraising page. This page gives you the chance to raise money for the fund over time -- tracking how much you run each month. You can customize this page and share with your friends and family.
Or, you can make a one-time gift by clicking on the orange "Please Give Now" button at the top right corner.
However you want to help, using this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts. If you would rather mail your contribution directly to UVA please make the check payable to: UVA Fund/Children's Hospital and in the memo field write "Lucas Fund."
